Coach's Guide to FLL
Welcome to the world of FLL. As a coach this may all seem a bit too much to handle. To help you along your journey I have made a step-by-step walk through below of everything you need to do to get your team into competition in December.
1. Here is a link to the FIRST website’s explanation of how to start a team and what to do after that. It is a full lesson of how to create and run a team. This should be your first stop. http://www.usfirst.org/roboticsprograms/fll/content.aspx?id=16890
2. You will have to register your team will FLL headquarters. To register your team, follow the link below. Create a new account and follow the instructions to register your team.

3. Next you must register to a local tournament. The first link is about regional qualifying tournaments. Follow the second link below and look up the qualifying tournament closest to you. Contact the tournament director to establish that you would like to compete at their tournament.

4. Now you will need your equipment to compete. The next link is a general list of the things you will need to buy to be able to compete (the prices may not be correct for your area).

5. Finally, before your tournament you need to make sure your team ahs packed all the essentials.No matter what kind of tournament you are attending, you should have all of these items with you AT THE LEAST.
