My Blocks
My Blocks are very special blocks. These are customizable blocks that are created by the programmer. When you create a program, it can be condensed into a single block by creating a My Block. Inside of My Blocks can be any number and arrangement of other blocks.
Some special features of this block are that you can name and decorate them as you wish. If you delete the block, it will still exist like a motor or wait block would. You my blocks can be found under the custom tab. The insides of my blocks can be customized by double clicking on them. Just remember to save them before closing. If you edit a block, it will save for all uses of that block so be careful.
Typically you want to use My Blocks when you have a small program that will need to be repeated many times. For example if I make a program for doing a dance and my robot will be in a musical, I might want to turn that dance into a My Block since it will be used often.
To make a My Block, select the blocks you wish to turn into a My Block. Then click the My Block button in the toolbar.

The My Block Builder window will open after you press it. In this window, you will create your MY Block. First start off with a name. Try to make it something appropriate that will help to describe what the block does. For example, a Wait Block makes the robot wait so the name is very good.
Before clicking next, make sure to check the Selected Blocks section to make sure you selected all the blocks you wanted. If you missed a block, click cancel and select the blocks you wanted again.
When ready, you can click Next to decorate the block or finish to skip decorating.

If you click Next, you will be brought to the decoration section where you can click and drag symbols onto the white square to decorate the block. A preview is shown to the right of that. I would also recommend keep this part appropriate to the block. Using the example of the Wait Block again, there is an hour glass on it to symbolize waiting which is a good choice. Once you are done, click Finish and your My Block will be created and saved.
